              Seven deaths (Maharashtra-4,Gujarat-2 and Delhi-1) were reported during the day in India which increased the death toll to 878 due to Influenza A H1N1 as on 26th December 2009.
On 25th December 2009, 18766 passengers have been screened at 12 Airports with 41 counters manned by 101 doctors and 71 paramedics. Total passengers screened till date is 10072376.
Till date, samples from 109051 persons have been tested for Influenza A H1N1 in Government Laboratories and a few private Laboratories across the country and 25112 (23.02%) of them have been found positive.
Out of the 180 cases reported during the day three are having history of foreign travel and rest are indigenous cases.
Reports of twenty seven earlier deaths (Gujarat-20,Punjab-4,Rajasthan-2 and Madhya Pradesh-1) have been received from the health authorities of the respective states and are reflected in the cumulative total.
