Kingfisher Airlines to raise Rs 500 crores

Kingfisher Airlines Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 28, 2009, inter alia, has decided to initiate steps for induction of capital not exceeding Rs 500 crores by way of equity and to explore with the Merchant Bankers the most expeditious way of doing so.

The stock was trading at Rs.50.40, up by Rs.1.40 or 2.86%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.50.70 and low of Rs.48.20.

The total traded quantity was 936806 compared to 2 week average of 1209128.
