Essar Shipping to seek EGM approval for delisting

Essar Shipping Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on December 02, 2006, inter alia, has decided to seek consent of shareholders by calling for an Extra Ordinary General Meeting of members on January 02, 2007 to pass a Special Resolution for delisting of equity shares of the Company from Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd in terms of SEBI (Delisting of securities) Guidelines 2003.
