Tricom India Ltd has announced its expansion plans in Nashik. The Company will recruit 400 freshers to its fold. The centre in Nashik will enable the Company to widen its base in India and tap more opportunities available in overseas market for data processing.
The Company at initial, stage has leased a property in Satpur Industrial Area in Nashik of about 10,000 sq ft. The new centre has the world class facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure and is expected to be operational by first week of December 2006.
The Company has also acquired approximately two acres of land in Nashik for setting up their own operations, which will be in effect in next 18-24 months; for which the Company has plans to recruit 1500 freshers to its fold for the same. This will be the first wholly owned properly of the Company.
Commenting on the expansion plans, Mr Chetan Kothari, M D of the Company said, "At present, non-voice BPO have started moving to tier two cities like Nashik. An organized BPO like us see a great potential to cash on this aspect and attract people. Nashik’s proximity to Mumbai, its status as a developing city and also an upcoming IT hub appealed to us."
