Sterlite Optical announces Q1 results

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 33.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 21.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 629.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 1001.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
