GMR Holdings Pvt. Ltd acquires 298309 Equity Shares of Rs 2/- each of GMR Infrastructure

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has announced that GMR Holdings Pvt. Ltd ('GHPL'), promoter and holding Company of GMR Infrastructure Ltd ('the Company') has purchased 2,98,309 on March 09, 2009 Equity Shares of Rs 2/- each through open market purchase in normal segment on the Stock Exchanges.

Consequent to the aforesaid acquisition of 2,98,309 Equity Shares, GHPL now holds 135,38,42,238 (74.36%) Equity Shares of Rs 2/- each of the Company.

The stock closed the day at Rs.76.05, up by Rs.7.10 or 10.30%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.77.70 and low of Rs.69.30.

The total traded quantity was 769951 compared to 2 week average of 521464.
