Feb. 11, 2009 - MediaTek, Inc., the world's leading fabless semiconductors company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions today announced that it will demonstrate its wireless communications solutions at the Mobile World Congress.
Providing leading wireless communications solutions to help people enjoy richer mobile lives is MediaTek's mission. MediaTek's image at this show will be aligned with its theme - Richer Mobile Living. MediaTek will showcase its first smart phone solution, present the world's largest portfolio of TD-SCDMA phone module, demonstrate its latest 5M pixel camera feature phone solution and display its world leading host-based GPS solutions at this year's Mobile World Congress.
MediaTek's first smart phone solution, MT6516, features a rich multimedia function with LCD resolution up to WVGA and digital camera resolution up to 5M pixels. MediaTek will also present the world's largest portfolio of TD-SCDMA phone module, including the Laguna family platforms which support the HSUPA up to 2.2Mbps and HSDPA up to 2.8Mbps.
The 5M pixel camera feature phone solution, MT6239, which MediaTek will display at the show, provides rich DSC features and excellent DSC quality in color reproduction and clarity to enable users to capture refined image well. It also offers VGA at 30 fps video recorder, DV functionality and continuous AF in DV mode and DVD resolution video player to enable users record and play image well.
In addition to the above, the GPS solutions MediaTek will display at this show including MT3328, a wafer level CSP host based GPS solution, and MT3329, the world's highest sensitivity GPS solution.
