Vijaya Bank announces Q1 results

Vijaya Bank has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 726.30 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 275.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Income has increased from Rs 6577.80 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 7000.60 million for Q1 FY 06-07.
