New Delhi, 16th Jan 2009 Smile Foundation is going to replicate its successful model in South Asian countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka in the current year.
A team is visiting Nepal between January 15 and 17, 2009 comprising of Mr Naresh Chaudhary, COO Smile Foundation, Mr Firoz Patel, Director-Operations ChildReach International, and Mr Dan Quille, Executive Director ChildReach International.
ChildReach International is a UK based charity and is one of the strategic partners of Smile Foundation for the expansion plan.
The fact finding visit will result in exploring prospective grassroots level NGOs and relevant agencies, both governmental and non governmental, in Nepal for partnership.
This trip to Nepal will be valuable in the way to identify genuine NGOs, getting the feel of the need of the land and getting the partnerships of the identified NGOs to a logical end, says Mr. Naresh Chaudhary, Chief Operating Officer, Smile Foundation.
Smile Foundation reaches out to more than a lakh underprivileged children and youth directly through more than 110 welfare projects on subjects like education, healthcare, livelihood, and advocacy across 21 states of India.
Smile Foundation has a bandwidth of 85 credible and certified NGOs as implementing partners, besides more than 70 corporate and institutions of national and international repute as supporters.
Many of Smile Foundations alliances and supporters are from Europe, America and Asia. However, Nepal will be the first nation where Smile Foundation will replicate and monitor its project. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be the next destination for replication.
