V S Sampath is the New Secretary for Ministry of Power

Shri V.S. Sampath today assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India. He was earlier Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Shri V.S. Sampath is the Andhra Pradesh cadre officer of the 1973 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He has held various significant assignments in different sectors in the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh including energy sector.
