November 27, 2008: Considering the prevailing abnormal situation and government's advise to people to stay at home, it has been decided to keep the Bombay Stock Exchange closed for the day. The expiry in F&O and settlement due today, stands postponed to the next working day.
The National Stock Exchange has announced that there shall be no Trading today - Thursday, November 27, 2008. The F&O contracts shall expire on 28 November 2008 instead of today.
The settlements scheduled for today in both NSE and BSE stands postponed to tomorrow.
Meanwhile, RBI announced that there will be no transactions and settlements in Government securities, foreign exchange and money markets today. The Settlement of all outstanding transactions will accordingly get postponed to the next working day, November 28, 2008.
The Transactions under Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) conducted on November 26, 2008 will accordingly be reversed on November 28, 2008.
Notwithstanding this, the Reserve Bank will conduct the LAF auctions today as per schedule. RTGS/NEFT are open and are functioning normally and settlement services will be available.
