HYDERABAD, India - November 18, 2008 - Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the leader in Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced the opening of a major research and development facility in Hyderabad, India. This office will provide Pegasystems with a global research, development, and training footprint, and will bring greater technology innovation in the BPM sector.
The new facility in Hyderabad will be a critical component in developing Pegasystems' BPM vision moving forward. Pegasystems will employ highly skilled and experienced engineering talent who will be tasked to explore the frontiers of BPM technology and bring new ideas and concepts into Pegasystems' products. Pegasystems has worked closely with the city of Hyderabad and the state of Andra Pradesh on the opening of this facility, and looks forward to the contribution this office will play in the company's global BPM initiatives.
