Mr. Martin Antony former Managing Director of Mothercare joins Lilliput as Director

Mumbai, September 23, 2008: Lilliput Kidswear Ltd, the leaders in the Indian Kidswear industry, announced the appointment of Mr. Martin Antony as Director – Sourcing & Merchandising, with immediate effect. Mr. Antony brings more than 16 years of experience in operations, retail, sourcing & merchandising to Lilliput, having recently served as Managing Director of Mothercare Sourcing India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Antony, 41, will be based in the company's corporate headquarters in New Delhi and will oversee Lilliput's sourcing and merchandising division. He will be instrumental in setting up factories in Tirupur and Andhra Pradesh and sourcing offices in China, Egypt, Bangladesh and other countries.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Antony spent 3 years as the Managing Director of Mothercare Sourcing India Pvt. Ltd. He had the rare distinction of being the first employee of Mothercare outside the UK. He was a Quality Manager with Tommy Hilfiger and Otto. Later, he joined Linmark, a Delhi-based buying agency. Before setting up its own sourcing office, Mothercare was functioning through Linmark and Antony was the Branch Manager for Linmark in Tirupur. When Mothercare launched its own sourcing office, Antony was chosen to head operations.

Mr. Antony earned a Master's of Business Administration degree (Marketing & HR) from RCM, Bhubaneshwar in 1992. He has avid interests in value based trainings & team building activities.
