Tata Chemicals announces Q2 results, net at Rs.157.65 Crores

Tata Chemicals Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2006:

The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 1576.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 1258.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income* (net of excise) has increased from Rs 10322.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 11942.00 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

* Total Income is including Interest on Refunds of Tax.
