Kabra Extrusiontechnik Starts FY27 on a Strong Note as Q1 Revenue Surges 44.8% to ₹ 1,245 Million Led by Geon Division

Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd., one of India's leading extrusion machinery manufacturers and a rapidly emerging player in the battery pack market, has formally announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company delivered a robust top-line growth accompanied by a sharp operational turnaround during the quarter.

Operational and Financial Performance

For Q1 FY27, Kabra Extrusiontechnik recorded total operating revenues of ₹ 1,245 million, representing a substantial year-on-year growth of 44.8% compared to ₹ 860 million reported in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, revenues expanded by 3.6% over the ₹ 1,201 million achieved in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY26).

The company's operational efficiency registered a strong uptick, with Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) coming in at ₹ 60 million for the quarter. This represents a solid turnaround from an EBITDA loss of ₹ 30 million in Q1 FY26, and a sequential growth of 109.4% over the ₹ 30 million EBITDA reported in Q4 FY26.

Consequently, EBITDA margins for Q1 FY27 improved significantly to 5.0%, up by 251 basis points sequentially from 2.5% in Q4 FY26, and turning positive compared to a negative margin of 3.4% in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Segment Revenue Performance

The revenue growth during the quarter was primarily driven by the stellar performance of the company's battery pack division alongside steady contributions from its core machinery segment:

Geon Division: The green energy and battery pack segment recorded exponential growth, with revenues surging by 133.1% YoY to reach ₹ 701 million in Q1 FY27, compared to the corresponding period last year.

Extrusion Machinery Division: The traditional extrusion machinery business posted steady operating revenues of ₹ 544 million during the quarter.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Anand Kabra, Managing Director of Kabra Extrusiontechnik said, "We continued to advance our dual-engine growth strategy in Q1 FY27, delivering a strong performance despite a challenging operating environment. Revenue surged by 44.8% YoY to ₹1,245 million during the quarter, driven by the exceptional momentum in Geon's lithium-ion battery business, which grew by 133.1% YoY to ₹701 million in Q1 FY27. Focused execution and operational efficiencies also enabled the Company to return to positive EBITDA during the quarter.

The Company continued to strengthen its market position despite temporary softness in the extrusion machinery segment, particularly in pipe applications. Although elevated raw material prices and higher logistics costs moderated segment margins during the quarter, the underlying business fundamentals remained strong, positioning the segment for improved performance as market conditions normalise.

On the other hand, Geon continued to benefit from accelerating EV adoption, supported by improving ownership economics and favourable industry dynamics. The division further strengthened its position across electric mobility, energy storage, telecom, solar, and residential power backup segments, reinforcing its role as a key growth driver for the Company.

Backed by strong engineering capabilities, advanced manufacturing infrastructure, and a robust balance sheet, we are well-positioned to capitalize on the significant opportunities emerging from India's infrastructure development and energy transition, driving sustainable value creation for all stakeholders in the coming years."
