Personal care FMCG major Gillette India Limited has officially declared its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), starting the new financial year with steady top-line growth and a robust expansion in net profitability.
Key Financial Highlights (Q1 FY27 vs Q1 FY26)
Revenue from Operations: Grew 10.8% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹783.02 crore (₹78,302 lakh) compared to ₹706.72 crore (₹70,672 lakh) recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Total Income: Stood at ₹788.24 crore (including other income of ₹5.22 crore), up from ₹713.40 crore in Q1 FY26.
Profit Before Tax (PBT): Expanded 9.5% YoY to ₹214.02 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹195.43 crore in Q1 FY26.
Profit After Tax (PAT): Increased 9.4% YoY to ₹159.45 crore (₹15,945 lakh) compared to ₹145.69 crore (₹14,569 lakh) in Q1 FY26.
Earnings Per Share (EPS): Improved to ₹48.93 per share (Face Value ₹10), compared to ₹44.71 per share in Q1 FY26.
Segment-Wise Performance
The company operates in two core operational segments-Grooming and Oral Care-both of which recorded positive growth during the quarter:
1. Grooming Segment
The grooming portfolio, which includes razors, blades, and shaving products, continues to be the largest business vertical for Gillette India.
Segment Revenue: Rose 9.0% YoY to ₹628.65 crore (₹62,865 lakh) in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹576.93 crore in Q1 FY26 (Full-year FY26 revenue was ₹2,543.18 crore).
Segment Profit: Increased 13.0% YoY to ₹173.45 crore (₹17,345 lakh), up from ₹153.53 crore in Q1 FY26.
2. Oral Care Segment
The oral care division delivered strong double-digit top-line growth.
Segment Revenue: Expanded 18.9% YoY to ₹154.37 crore (₹15,437 lakh) in Q1 FY27, up from ₹129.79 crore in Q1 FY26 (Full-year FY26 revenue was ₹556.35 crore).
Segment Profit: Stood at ₹37.71 crore (₹3,771 lakh) in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹36.81 crore in Q1 FY26.
Cost Dynamics & Expenses
Operational Expenses: Total expenses for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, came in at ₹574.22 crore, compared to ₹517.97 crore in the same period last year.
Advertising & Sales Promotion: Expenditure on advertising and promotional efforts for the quarter stood at ₹103.32 crore (₹10,332 lakh), a reduction from ₹136.37 crore spent in Q1 FY26.
Tax Expenses: Total tax expenses for the quarter were ₹54.57 crore, comprising current tax of ₹55.94 crore and deferred tax credit of ₹1.37 crore.
Financial Position & Segment Assets
As of June 30, 2026, Gillette India's balance sheet metrics reflected steady capital allocation:
Total Assets: Stood at ₹2,094.54 crore (₹2,09,454 lakh).
Segment Assets: Grooming held segment assets of ₹1,038.44 crore, while Oral Care held assets worth ₹111.82 crore. Unallocated corporate assets totaled ₹944.28 crore.
Total Liabilities: Stood at ₹986.12 crore (₹98,612 lakh).
The Company delivered strong growth during the quarter, with sales of ₹783 crore, up 11% versus year ago, enabled by the strength of its strategic portfolio, meaningful innovation that addresses evolving consumer needs, and superior retail execution across channels. Profit After Tax (PAT) was reported at ₹159 crores, up 9% versus year ago driven by double digit topline growth and intentional productivity initiatives.
