Pune-based mechatronics major SEDEMAC Mechatronics Limited has delivered a record-breaking performance for the first quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The company has achieved its highest-ever quarterly and Trailing Twelve Month (TTM) sales volumes for its proprietary control-intensive Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
The company's performance was highlighted by a significant milestone: crossing the threshold of 1 million motor controllers sold within a single quarter for the first time in its corporate history.
Strong Growth in Control-Intensive ECU Sales
SEDEMAC reported that total sales of its control-intensive ECUs and controllers reached 1,108,301 units during Q1 FY27. This represents a robust year-on-year (YoY) growth of 37.1% compared to the 808,436 units sold during the first quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26).
The momentum is equally visible on a Trailing Twelve Month basis. Total ECU sales for the TTM ending June 2026 climbed to 4,200,939 units, marking a massive 52.9% expansion against the 2,747,227 units recorded in the TTM ending June 2025.
The company's product line covers specialized, critical-application controllers including:
Integrated Starter Generator ECUs (ISG ECUs, ISG+EFI, and ISG+TCI variants)
Standard Electronic Fuel Injection ECUs (EFI ECUs)
Electric Vehicle Motor Control Units (EV MCUs)
Genset Control Units (GCUs)
Aftertreatment Control Modules (ACMs)
Historical Milestones: The Road to 1 Million Units
The company's specialized Motor Controller segment-comprising its core ISG and EV motor control platforms-exhibited an accelerated growth trajectory. Since launching commercial operations, the timeline to scale production has tightened significantly:
The Starting Point: Operations officially commenced in Q4 FY18.
250,000 Units/Quarter: Achieved in Q2 FY23, taking 18 quarters from inception.
500,000 Units/Quarter: Reached in Q2 FY25, spanning 26 quarters from the start.
1,000,000 Units/Quarter: Unlocked in the current quarter (Q1 FY27), taking just 33 quarters from inception to cross the million-unit milestone.
Expanding Global OEM Footprint
As an indigenous technology developer, SEDEMAC has established itself as a primary supplier to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the mobility and industrial markets in India, the United States, and Europe.
The company credits its market outperformance to its focus on in-house research and development. The majority of its operational revenue comes from novel, in-house developed control architectures. This independent tech pipeline enables the firm to provide proprietary components that insulate its global OEM customers from generic technology cycles.
