Shree Refrigerations Limited to Launch Advanced Manufacturing Facility to Strengthen Marine and Defence HVAC&R Capabilities

In a major initiative, Shree Refrigerations Limited (SRL), one of India's leading defence-focused manufacturers of advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems, will inaugurate its new manufacturing facility at Karad of Satara district in Maharashtra on Saturday (20th June 2026). The new facility will expand the company's manufacturing footprint by 50,000 square feet.

Developed in an area of 6 acres, the new facility will be a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit with advanced machinery and complete backward integration capabilities. It is equipped with robotic welding, laser cutting, bending, paint shop and modern shot blast. It has been developed in compliance with the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) standards. The facility has been designed with provisions for an additional 50,000 square feet expansion at the same location.

With 35 years of experience in the refrigeration industry, the firm pivoted to the defence sector less than a decade ago. Backed by niche technology, reliable manufacturing, and strong service support, the company has since grown from strength to strength. This expansion will further enable the company to consolidate its position as a leader and preferred partner for critical defence applications.

Built in line with stringent quality and engineering standards, it reinforces the company's strong focus on indigenous design and manufacturing, and longterm lifecycle support for critical infrastructure and defence applications."

"In the initial phase of the new facility, our focus will be on improving efficiency and strengthening the supply chain. Our goal is to reduce dependency on Pune-based supply ecosystem. This includes developing a stronger backward integration and machinery set up to make everything in house in the new plant. This will improve manufacturing time and reduce logistical delays. Another key metric we will monitor is conversion time from order confirmation to final delivery. Since most of our projects involve customisation, reducing this cycle will improve customer satisfaction and internal productivity," Shende further said.

Recently, SRL reported strong operational and financial performance during H2FY26 and FY26, with revenues growing by over 100% on both a YoY and HoH basis in H2FY26, and by over 50% on a YoY basis in FY26, supported by improved execution capabilities, higher project completion rates, and operating leverage benefits.

SRL is the only Indian company with naval registrations across all three key segments-Chillers & Refrigeration Plants, Turnkey HVAC&R Solutions, and Electrical Control Panels. Its portfolio also includes Electrical Control Panels for defence platforms and Heavy Fabrication Services supporting large-scale defence manufacturing requirements.

Shares of Shree Refrigerations Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 253.35 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 260.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 176000 in over 300 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 268.00 and intraday low of 250.10. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 45504625.00.
