City Union Bank Hits 978 Branches with Major Expansion in North and West India

City Union Bank Limited (CUB), the Kumbakonam-headquartered private sector lender, has accelerated its national expansion by inaugurating five new branches today across Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

With this latest rollout, the bank's total network has reached 978 branches, bringing it within striking distance of the significant 1,000-branch milestone.

New Branch Locations

The five new branches are located in high-growth urban centers, reflecting the bank's strategy to diversify its geographic presence beyond its traditional Southern strongholds:

Lucknow - Aminabad (Uttar Pradesh): Situated in the heart of Lucknow's commercial district, strengthening CUB's footprint in North India.

Jammu (J&K): Located in Trikuta Nagar, this branch marks a key entry into the union territory, catering to local businesses and residents.

Ahmedabad - South Bopal (Gujarat): Strengthening the bank's presence in Gujarat's financial hub.

Jaipur - Vaishali Nagar (Rajasthan): Expanding services in the growing residential and commercial zones of the Pink City.

Jaipur - Mansarovar (Rajasthan): A second opening in Jaipur today, highlighting Rajasthan as a high-priority growth market for the bank.

The bank's expansion pace has been remarkable. Just yesterday, the bank reported 973 branches; with today's five new openings, CUB is adding capacity at a rate that suggests a strong push to hit the four-digit branch mark before the end of the current quarter.

Shares of City Union Bank Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 270.40 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 264.80. The total number of shares traded during the day was 113895 in over 2121 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 271.20 and intraday low of 265.80. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 30604473.00.
