IID Forgings to convene EGM for new investment

IID Forgings Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 26, 2006, inter alia, has convened an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the Company on November 02, 2006 for seeking:

1. Approval of members under Sec. 372A of the Companies Act 1956 for investment in excess of the limits of paid-up capital and free reserves in the proposed Company viz BDP - Genco (India) Pvt Ltd, a Company being incorporated for foraying in the business of retail distribution.

2. For keeping the Register of Members, index of members and copies of all annual returns prepared under Sec 159 and 160 at the office of the Company's Registrar and Share Transfer Agents - M/s. Bigshare Services Pvt Ltd.
