SoftTech Engineers Launches India's First TDR Trading Platform: e-TDR

SoftTech Engineers Limited has announced the launch of e-TDR, India's first unified digital exchange for Transfer of Development Rights (TDR). Developed as a technology partnership with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Government of Maharashtra, the platform aims to revolutionize urban land governance.

The platform is set to serve over 18,000 registered developers and landowners within the BMC region from day one. By digitizing the TDR process, SoftTech addresses long-standing industry challenges such as opaque pricing, manual paperwork, and lengthy approval cycles.

Understanding TDR (Transfer of Development Rights)

TDR is a vital urban planning tool. When a landowner surrenders their land for public utilities like roads or parks, they receive compensation in the form of additional construction rights (built-up area) instead of cash. These rights can be used on another plot or sold to other developers in the market.

SoftTech will earn a fee for each transaction processed on the platform. This engagement reinforces SoftTech's position as a leader in GovTech and AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) software.

According to Vijay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of SoftTech, "This is not merely a digital platform - it is a transformation instrument for India's urban future."

Shares of Softtech Engineers Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 242.10 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 228.50. The total number of shares traded during the day was 2309 in over 37 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 243.00 and intraday low of 220.05. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 536262.00.
