Coal India Secures Rs 1,057 Cr BESS Plant Contract

Coal India Limited received a Letter of Award from Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited for a 750 MWh (187.5 MW for 4 hours) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant at Choutuppal.

Project Specifications

The domestic contract carries a tariff of Rs 3.14 lakh/MW/month with an estimated project cost of Rs 1,057.09 crore. Execution timeline spans 18 months from BESPA signing, following 15-day document submission and Performance Bank Guarantee.

Shares of Coal India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 450.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 445.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 928002 in over 21424 trades.
