Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited (ATS), one of the leading manufacturers of transformers and switchgear solutions in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Western Administrative District of the City of Moscow (Russian Federation), marking a significant step toward international collaboration in energy infrastructure and industrial development.
The MOU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two parties aimed at strengthening industrial ties, promoting sustainable energy solutions, and fostering technological exchange. The agreement reflects a shared vision to accelerate growth in power infrastructure and related sectors across both regions.
The agreement was formally signed on March 22, 2026, in Haryana, India, and reflects the mutual intent of both parties to build a long-term, non-binding strategic partnership focused on industrial and infrastructure development.
Under the terms of the MOU, both parties will collaborate across multiple strategic areas, including:
- Development of Energy Infrastructure: Joint efforts in supply, installation, and commissioning of transformers, distribution systems, switchgear, and related electrical equipment.
- Manufacturing & Industrial Cooperation: Exploration of joint ventures, local assembly units, and manufacturing facilities in Moscow to enhance localization and production capabilities.
- EPC Projects (Engineering, Procurement & Construction): Collaboration on large-scale infrastructure projects, including substations and industrial power systems, in coordination with government and public sector entities.
- Government & Institutional Engagement: Strengthening ties with regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders to facilitate project development and execution.
- Technology & Skill Development: Exchange of technical expertise, training programs, and capacitybuilding initiatives in areas such as transformer manufacturing, smart grids, and energy-efficient technologies.
The partnership also aims to promote structured engagement through business delegations, technical discussions, and investment opportunities, ensuring effective implementation of energy projects and longterm industrial cooperation.
