The Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, recently inaugurated two transformative digital platforms developed by the Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UDD), J&K - powered by SoftTech's CivitPERMIT(AutoDCR) technology - marking a landmark step in the country's smart city and urban governance initiatives.

The two platforms launched include the Auto Scrutiny-based Building Permission and Change of Land Use (CLU) Portal, integrated with GIS-based Master Plans using CivitPERMIT(AutoDCR), and the Unified Web Portal of the Housing & Urban Development Department, J&K. The Commissioner Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, Mandeep Kaur, described the Building Permission Portal as a "first-of-itskind initiative in the country" - integrating automation, spatial intelligence, and regulatory compliance on a single digital interface. The platform automatically scrutinises AutoCAD drawings and verifies compliance with building bye-laws and GIS-mapped Master Plans, eliminating manual intervention and accelerating building approvals.
