Waaree Energies Addresses U.S. Preliminary Countervailing Duties on Solar Imports

Waaree Energies Ltd provided an update regarding recent U.S. Department of Commerce reports on preliminary countervailing duties of 126% imposed on certain solar imports from India.

Ongoing Regulatory Context

The matter remains under active regulatory proceedings, with final outcomes anticipated in the coming months. Despite this development and a prior 50% duty on Indian imports, the company successfully ramped up U.S. shipments during 9MFY26.

Diversified Supply Chain Strategy

Waaree's alternate and diversified supply chains, built over years, enabled continued delivery performance. The company continues enhancing this core strength, including investments in Oman for fully traceable, non-Chinese polysilicon supply to bolster resilience.

U.S. Manufacturing Expansion

Waaree has progressively expanded its U.S.-based manufacturing footprint for localized production. Current aggregate U.S. module capacity stands at approximately 2.6 GW, incorporating the acquired Meyer Burger facility.

Further expansion targets 4.2 GW by FY27 end. Management assesses that existing and planned capacity will substantially meet current U.S. customer commitments based on the order book.

Forward Outlook

The company reaffirms commitment to U.S. localized manufacturing growth and geographic supply chain diversification. No material adverse impact is expected on servicing the U.S. order book at this stage.

Shares of Waaree Energies Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3025.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2915.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 173820 in over 14586 trades.
