KPI Green Energy Ltd receives Commissioning Certificate for 16.16 MWdc Solar Power Projects under IPP segment under PM-KUSUM Scheme

KPI Green Energy Limited has received the Commissioning Certificate for 16.16 MWdc of Solar Power Projects under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) business segment, implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme, a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at promoting decentralized solar power for the agricultural sector.

KPI Green Energy Limited is among the early developers to receive the Commissioning Certificate under the PM-KUSUM scheme in the operational area of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL). As of date, the Company has commissioned 16.16 MWdc, the highest installed capacity under the scheme within the DGVCL operational area, in a comparatively short span of time. The Company has efficiently developed and commissioned these projects and has commenced supply of renewable energy for agricultural pumping requirements, enabling reliable daytime power availability to farmers under the PM-KUSUM framework.

The PM-KUSUM Scheme is aimed at enhancing energy and water security for farmers, reducing dependence on conventional and diesel-based power sources, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices while contributing to national renewable energy objectives.
