JSW Steel Reports 5% YoY Growth in Consolidated Crude Steel Production for November 2025

JSW Steel Limited announced its monthly production figures today, reporting consolidated crude steel production of 24.39 lakh tonnes for November 2025, marking a 5% year-on-year (YoY) increase from 23.23 lakh tonnes in November 2024.

The growth was driven entirely by the company's Indian operations, which achieved higher volumes despite operating with constrained capacity at its Vijayanagar Works.

Indian Operations: Produced 23.61 lakh tonnes, up 5% YoY from 22.53 lakh tonnes.

JSW Steel USA - Ohio: Produced 0.78 lakh tonnes, up 11% YoY from 0.70 lakh tonnes.

Consolidated Production: 24.39 lakh tonnes, +5% YoY.

Capacity Utilisation Impacted by Planned Upgradation

Overall capacity utilisation for Indian operations stood at 84% in November 2025. This was lower primarily due to the ongoing capital expenditure and upgradation of Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar Works, which has been shut down since the end of September 2025.

The upgrade will increase BF3 capacity from 3 MTPA to 4.5 MTPA. Excluding the BF3 capacity, utilisation across the remaining Indian facilities reached approximately 93% during the month, reflecting strong operational efficiency and robust demand.

The steady production growth, achieved even with one major blast furnace under upgradation, underscores JSW Steel's operational resilience and continued focus on expanding downstream and value-added capacities. The upgraded BF3 is expected to come on stream in the coming months, further boosting overall production capability.

Shares of JSW Steel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1119.30 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1167.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 83847 in over 4570 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1167.25 and intraday low of 1115.30. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 94997348.00.
