Medanta Super Speciality Hospital performs Bhoomi Poojan of its Upcoming Hospital in Guwahati

Global Health Limited "Medanta", one of the largest private multi-specialty tertiary care providers operating in the North and East regions of India, took an important step towards delivering world-class healthcare in the Northeast states with a Bhoomi Poojan ceremony in Guwahati to mark the beginning of construction for its upcoming 400+ bed super-specialty facility in the city.

The event was graced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as the guest of honour of the event, and Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta. The upcoming state-of-the art 400+ bed facility is set to come up at Industrial Estate, Sarusajai, Guwahati along National Highway 27 at an approximate cost of Rs 500 crores. It will deliver worldclass tertiary and quaternary care, encompassing a comprehensive range of super-specialties including a robust Transplant program (including that of the Kidney, Liver, Lung, Heart, Bone Marrow and a Robotic Transplant Program); Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery; Thoracic Surgery; Peripheral Vascular Surgery; Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Cardiac Surgery; Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Intervention Neurology; Orthopedics, including joint replacements; Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncology; Gastroenterology and GI Surgery; Nephrology and Urology; Respiratory Medicine and Intervention Pulmonology; ENT and Head & Neck Cancer; Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery; Endocrinology; Critical Care Medicine and Trauma Emergency; Ophthalmology; and Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, among other specialties, as well as all Diagnostic Services, including Labs, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine as well as Preventive Health Check-ups.
