Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd commissions second fully integrated rod mill

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited had earlier announced the commencement of commercial production at the First Rod Mill of the DICABS Nextgen Special Alloys, Wholly owned Subsidiary Company Plant in Vadodara, Gujarat, and the ongoing setup of the remaining two rod mills.

The Second fully integrated Rod Mill at the facility has now commenced commercial production. This mill is dedicated to manufacturing Next Generation AL 59 Wire Rods - advanced aluminum-based alloys developed as high-efficiency conductors for power transmission. The installed production capacity of this unit is 2,500 MT per month, i.e., 30,000 MT per annum. With this, only one rod mill remains to be commissioned.

Currently, the Company and its DICABS Nextgen Special Alloys, wholly owned subsidiary operates:

- Its own rod mill with a capacity of 1,200 MT per month, (Diamond Power)
- One rod mill with a capacity of 2,400 MT per month, (DICABS Nextgen)
- And now, an additional rod mill of 2,500 MT per month capacity (DICABS Nextgen)

With the commencement of production at this second rod mill, two out of the three greenfield rod mills at the Vadodara plant of our WOS have now become operational. As a result, the total installed capacity for Wire Rods has reached 73,200 MT per annum, significantly enhancing the Company's overall conductor production capabilities and top line.
