Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has received a letter of intent from Adani Energy Solutions Limited worth ₹ 1349.11 Crores for supply of 24,080 AL-59 high-performance conductors.
The order involves Supply of 24,080 kilometers of AL-59 highperformance conductors. The supply will be executed across marquee transmission projects such as Jamnagar, Khavda-IV D, HVDC, Navinal-II, and Mahan-II.
With the addition of this mega order, Diamond Power's consolidated order book now stands at ₹2,800 crore, ensuring strong revenue visibility over the next two years.
In preparation, the company has expanded its AL-59 conductor capacity from 24,000 MTPA to 1,00,000 MTPA, making it one of the largest AL-59 conductor manufacturers in India. This capacity ramp-up is being delivered through three advanced integrated rod mills under its wholly owned subsidiary DICABS NexGen, with two already commissioned and the third due by July 2025.
Demand-Supply Outlook:
- India's power transmission sector is undergoing a massive upgrade to support renewable energy integration, urban infrastructure, and industrial corridors.
- As per CEA and CRISIL estimates, over 300,000 circuit kilometers of new transmission lines are needed by 2030.
- The market for AL-59/HTLS conductors is growing at 15-18% CAGR, with rising demand for higher ampacity and corrosion-resistant lines.
