BEL receives Rs.2,210 Crores order for Electronic Warfare Suite from Indian Air Force

Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a contract with Ministry of Defence valued at Rs.2,210 Crores (excluding taxes) for supply of EW Suite for Mi 17 V5 Helicopters of Indian Air Force. These systems are indigenously designed and developed by CASDIC, DRDO and manufactured by BEL. The EW Suite comprises Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) and Counter Measure Dispensing System (CMDS) which significantly enhance the combat survivability of the helicopters along with effective counter measures.

With this, BEL has now accumulated orders totalling Rs.2,803 Crores in the current financial year.

Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 273.15 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 280.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3001572 in over 34501 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 274.80 and intraday low of 252.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 805583320.00.
