PM directs States to explore concepts of Viability Gap Funding for recycling of E waste

Eco Recycling Ltd had suggested to implement "Recycling Linked Incentive" (RLI) to the office of the PMO on 8% March, 2023, to support speedier formalisation of the e waste recycling segment.

We are very pleased to share that the "PM directed the States to explore concepts of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for recycling of E waste. This is particularly important as with increasing data and technology driven society, digital waste will further increase. Converting this e waste into a useful resource will lessen our dependence on import of such material". He also mentioned that to "Focus on Reform, Perform, Transform and Inform."

The above direction was given by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji while addressing the 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Delhi earlier today, in the three day Conference was held in Delhi from 13 to 15 December, 2024.
