Infosys Foundation USA empowers Indiana Schools with Engineering, Robotics, and Coding STEM Skills

Infosys Foundation USA, a non-profit organization committed to bridging the digital skills divide, today announced a collaboration with four innovative STEM organizations: Miami EdTech, Infento, GoSprout, and Riders. This collaborative effort aims to expand access to cuttingedge STEM education and career pathways for Indiana students.

The initiative will equip up to 300 students across ten schools with the resources and skills necessary to thrive in an advanced technology-driven world. Through engaging STEM programs, professional development, and internship opportunities, students will be empowered to become the next generation of tech leaders in Indiana.

"Investing in early STEM education is critical for fostering creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills," said Kate Maloney, Executive Director of Infosys Foundation USA. "By collaborating with these industry leaders from Miami EdTech, Infento, GoSprout, and Riders, we can equip Indiana students with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in STEM fields and future careers."

Here is a breakdown on each of these collaborations:

- Infento will equip schools with their most popular electric vehicle product called the "Pro Kit." This is a one-of-a-kind STEM product that fosters hands-on learning experiences, allowing students to build life-size electric vehicles, igniting their passion for engineering and design.

- Riders will equip schools with their online robotics and coding curriculum and competition platform. This virtual platform will allow students to learn advanced skills in robotics programming, including Python, AI, object detection and give these students the opportunity to compete in online competitions with other students from around the world.

- Miami EdTech will provide comprehensive teacher training and professional development for the Infento electric vehicle and Riders' robotics program. This will ensure educators are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to effectively integrate these STEM programs into their classrooms.

- GoSprout will connect students with exclusive internship and apprenticeship opportunities within the Indiana tech industry. GoSprout's workforce management software makes it easier for companies to foster internship and apprenticeship programs within their organization and creates bridges between ambitious students and companies looking for young talent.

These programs go further by hosting engaging events for Indiana students to participate in. After students get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals behind engineering with Infento and robotics programming with Riders, they'll be able to partake in exciting build-a-thon and hack-a-thon challenges against other fellow Indiana students in Spring 2025. These events will provide a platform for students to showcase their newfound skills.

Carlos Vazquez, Founder of Miami EdTech and GoSprout said, "By connecting future careers with powerful STEM programs in the classroom, we are investing in our future workforce and giving them the opportunity to succeed in an ever-changing technology centric world. We are excited to collaborate with Infosys Foundation USA to provide Indiana students with these invaluable opportunities."

Max Ringelheim, US Director of Operations for Infento and Riders said, "Creating engaging and exciting STEM experiences in the classroom, where students can learn advanced 21st-century skills is crucial for schools to adopt at this time. The unique, advanced and engaging experiences that Infento and Riders provide will help keep students motivated in the classroom. We are so grateful that Infosys Foundation USA saw the positive impact these programs were having in Miami Dade County Public Schools and decided to allow us to bring these experiences to Indiana Schools.
