Samalkot Power Ltd repays outstanding interest in default to ExportImport Bank of the United States

Samalkot Power Limited (Samalkot), a subsidiary of Reliance Power Limited has paid in full, its outstanding interest in default on its Term Loan with ExportImport Bank of the United States. Consequent to the aforesaid payment by Samalkot, the default of the Company as a Guarantor to the aforesaid loan stands cured.

The actual amount involved in the default was US$ 15.48 Million.

Shares of Reliance Power Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 43.12 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 41.07. The total number of shares traded during the day was 2433978 in over 5075 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 43.12 and intraday low of 42.15. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 104439052.00.
