Airtel prepays Rs. 7,904 crores to clear high cost deferred liabilities for spectrum acquired in 2012 and 2015

Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, today said that it has prepaid Rs. 7,904 crores to the Department of Telecom (Government of India). With this, the Company has fully prepaid all deferred liabilities pertaining to spectrum acquired in auction of the year 2012 and 2015 which were at an highest interest cost of 9.75% and 10% respectively.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1427.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1425.30. The total number of shares traded during the day was 159238 in over 9026 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1434.50 and intraday low of 1421.30. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 227068103.00.
