Bandhan Bank Ltd appoints Mr. Pinaki Halder as CIO

The Board of Directors of Bandhan Bank Limited ('Bank') has approved the appointment of Mr. Pinaki Halder, as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Bank with immediate effect on December 26, 2023. The Current CIO of the Bank, Mr. Ronti Kar has been assigned a new strategic role as Head - Innovation Hub and Fintech Partnership.

Mr. Pinaki Halder, aged 52 years, has a rich experience of more than 25 years in the Banking and IT Industry in the fields of Information Technology & Business Intelligence. His areas of expertise include Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Governance, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotic process automation, MDM, Digital Transformation, Open AI, CBS, various core applications, customer communication system, several regulatory projects and reporting, etc. He has experience of leading large teams of engineers & business analysts for providing more data driven and deliver sustainable solutions, devising IT & data strategies and leading the journey of data from the scratch by implementing several transformational projects. Prior to joining the Bank, he has worked with Axis Bank for more than 20 years in different roles to enable technology developments. Mr. Halder, holds MCA, and has done Executive Leadership Program from Duke University, Leadership Program in "Strategy in the age of Digital Disruption" from INSEAD Singapore.

Mr. Ronti Kar, aged 55 years, has over 26 years of experience in the field of information technology. He has been associated with the Bank since its inception and played an important role in the successful completion of the IT Transformation of the Bank as CIO. He has played a pivotal role in the Bank's IT successes and will continue to contribute to the organization's growth in his new capacity. His extensive experience will be instrumental in driving the Bank's vision for tech innovation and fintech ventures.

Shares of Bandhan Bank Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 235.35 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 234.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 177305 in over 2572 trades.
