JSW Steel reported consolidated Crude Steel production for the second quarter of FY 24 at 6.41 Million tonnes, a growth of 13% YoY. QoQ production is marginally lower by 3%, primarily due to scheduled shutdowns undertaken at Indian operations and lower capacity utilisation at USA-Ohio due to market conditions.
The merger of the Joint Venture, Creixent Special Steels Limited along and its subsidiary JSW Ispat Special Products Limited (JISPL) with the Company has become effective on 31 July 2023. Indian Operations production volumes include the crude steel production of JISPL and its subsidiary, Mivaan Steels Limited and the corresponding period's production volumes have been restated to give effect to the merger.
