Orient Cement Limited commissions 1st phase of Waste Heat Recovery System

Orient Cement Limited has commissioned 1st phase of Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) at its Chittapur Integrated Cement Plant to utilise the waste heat available from the pyroprocessing system. AQC Boiler along with Turbine and Air Cooled Condenser which forms about 80% of the generation capacity is successfully commissioned. Preheater boiler erection work is in progress which will be commissioned in the near future. Overall, gross power generation capacity of WHRS, after the commissioning of 2nd phase will be 10.1 MW.

Shares of Orient Cement Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 178.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 176.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 97576 in over 1795 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 180.40 and intraday low of 173.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 17291201.00.
