GAIL CMD Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta receives 'Best CEO' award for Oil & Gas sector

Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL (India) Limited has received India's 'Best CEO' award for Oil and Gas Sector at a function held in Mumbai. The award was presented to him by Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon'ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation & Steel, Government of India.

Shri Gupta has wide experience of over 34 years of Oil & Gas Industry and took charge as Chairman & Managing Director of GAIL in October 2022. Prior to this, he held the position of Director (Finance) in Indian Oil Corporation.

The award was presented at the BT Mindrush programme organised by India Today group on the basis of company's performance for the finapcial year 2022-23.

GAIL (India) Limited is India's leading natural gas company with diversified interests across the natural gas value chain of trading, transmission, LPG production & transmission, LNG regasification, petrochemicals, city gas, E&P, etc. It owns and operates a network of around 14617 km of natural gas pipelines spread across the length and breadth of country. It is also working concurrently on execution of multiple pipeline projects to further enhance the spread. GAIL commands aro1md 70% market share in gas transmission and has a Gas trading share of over 50% in India. GAIL and its Subsidiaries / JV s also have a formidable market share in City Gas Distribution. In the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market, GAIL has significantly large portfolio. GAIL is also expanding its presence in renewable energy like Solar, Wind and Biofuel.

Shares of GAIL (India) Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 107.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 109.20. The total number of shares traded during the day was 846567 in over 5208 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 109.20 and intraday low of 105.05. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 90258945.00.
