ZF Steering Gear India Ltd updates on alleged infringement of ZF trademark

The Board of Directors of ZF Steering Gear (India) Limited, at its meeting held today i.e. November 19, 2022 have discussed / deliberated upon the recent communication received by the Company, from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, in relation to the alleged infringement of the trademark / mark "ZF" and/ or "ZF India" and amongst other ZF Friedrichshafen AG has allegedly demanded a sum of Rs.100 crores in damages from the Company. ZF Friedrichshafen AG has also provided an option to the Company, to meet and discuss the matter. The Company is of the opinion that, it has not committed any act of infringement.

The Board has resolved that, the Company does not in any manner whatsoever, accepts any allegations of infringement and / or demands of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, as communicated by ZF Friedrichshafen AG and / or ZF India Private Limited.

Shares of Z.F.STEERING GEAR (INDIA) LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 515.80 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 514.55. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1405 in over 49 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 527.90 and intraday low of 515.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 729364.00.
