Wipro appoints Christopher Smith as Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand

Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, announced today the appointment of Christopher Smith as the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Christopher has over two decades of IT and Telecommunications experience in USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He joins from Telstra, where he was the Group Owner of Telstra Purple, the largest Australian owned technology Services Company.

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).

Shares of Wipro Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 390.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 388.65. The total number of shares traded during the day was 131635 in over 4304 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 392.35 and intraday low of 385.70. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 51092074.00.
