Exxaro Tiles commences Commercial production of Big Slab Glazed Vitrified Tiles

To tap the vast potential in the GVT space, Exxaro Tiles Ltd has setup a manufacturing facility at its existing plant at Talod for value added large format GVT tiles in admeasuring 9mm/20mm with thickness in various sizes of 800*2400, 800*3000, 800*3200, 1200*1800 & 1200*2400. The installed capacity of the plant after this expansion is around 11.00 million sq. mtrs per annum which was earlier around 9.6 MSMS.
Total cost for setting up of this big slab production line was around Rs. 30 crores which was raised through internal funding. This expansion is expected to generate additional revenue of around Rs. 250 crores at optimum capacity and the same has started commercial production by 18 October 2022.
The Company has purchased a "SACMI CONTINUA" Technology based Press, admeasuring 1600mm
x 3200mm imported from ITALY to manufacture large glazed vitrified tiles/slabs. The new installation will apply the best latest available technology and manufacturing process in terms of industrial performance, safety and respect for the environment. Expanded product categories would enable the Company to further strengthen brand "EXXARO".
The investment is fully in line with the strategic plan to improve operating efficiencies and growth plan through technology enhancements alongside state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure. The new installation will manufacture large size glazed vitrified tiles/slabs admeasuring 9mm/20mm with thickness in various sizes of 800*2400, g00*3000, 300*3200, 1200*1800 & 1200*2400.
Shares of Exxaro Tiles Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs. 107.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 105.65. The total number of shares traded during the day was 25467 in over 404 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 110.00 and intraday low of 103.70. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 2736537.00.
