Kaveri Seed Company Ltd receives IT demand notice

Kaveri Seed Company Ltd has received a demand notice dated 30th September, 2022 for Rs. 73,25,39,490/- from the Income Tax Authorities for the Assessment Year 2020-21 mainly by disallowing the exemption of agriculture income claimed by the company.

The company strongly believes it is entitled to the exemption of agriculture income from tax and is in the process of going for appeal by taking the appropriate counsel in this regard.
