MoEF&CC gives approval for Ferro Alloy Plant of Maithan Ferrous Pvt Ltd

Maithan Ferrous Pvt. Ltd. (MFPL) (a subsidiary of Maithan Alloys Ltd) had submitted a proposal for installation of Ferro Alloy Ptant of 4x16.5 MVA Submerged Arc Furnaces along with Sinter & Briquette Plant at District Bankura, West Bengal, with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).

The MoEF&CC on 11th August, 2022 communicated the Minutes of the Expert Appraisal Committee held during August 1-3, 2022 to MFPL, recording the recommendation for the grant of Environment Clearance under the provisions of EIA Notification, 2006 (subject to the stipulation of certain specific and general conditions) to the instant proposal of MFPL.

Shares of Maithan Alloys Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 948.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 967.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 7598 in over 748 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 987.15 and intraday low of 942.30. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 7310682.00.
