Exide Energy Solutions Ltd to acquire 80 acres land for Li-ion battery facility

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL), wholly owned subsidiary of Exide Industries Limited ("Company") has executed the lease cum sale agreement on 26th July 2022 for procuring land parcel admeasuring 80 acres at Hitech, Defence & Aerospace Park, Phase-2, Bengaluru with Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The land will be used to set up state-of-the-art green field multi-gigawatt Li-ion battery cell manufacturing facility for the new-age electric mobility and stationary application businesses in India.

Shares of Exide Industries Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 156.10 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 150.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 539976 in over 8577 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 156.95 and intraday low of 149.50. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 83736962.00.
