Indian indices opened a gap down on the back of weak global cues. At the time of closing Indian indices ended on flat note, Sensex was down by 84.88 points or 0.15% at 56,975.99, and Nifty was down by 33.40 points or 0.20% at 17,069.10. All the sectoral indices were trading lower. IT, metal and consumer durables stocks underperformed the most. India, as per government released data GST revenue collection touches all-time high in April at Rs1.68 lakh cr. The numbers are almost 18% higher than the government's previous record of Rs1.42 lakh cr in March 2022.
Nifty 50 top gainers for today are Indusind Bank 3.93%, Coal India 2.60%, Power grid 2.11%, Tata steel 2.04% & ITC 1.64%. The losers are Apollo hosp -3.42% Eicher Mot -3.17%, Titan -3.14%, Bajaj Auto -2.92% & Wipro -2.65%.
