'Watch Tower' at Durgam Cheruvu Lake constructed by Mindspace REIT inaugurated

Mindspace Business Parks REIT ("Mindspace REIT"), owner and developer of quality Grade A office portfolio, which took up the CSR initiative of creating a safe and secure waterfront with Durgam Cheruvu Lake back in 2017, has added another feature, with the construction of a 30 feet high Watch Tower at the Lake. The Watch Tower was inaugurated by Mr. Mahender Reddy, Director General of Police, Telangana State and Mr. Stephen Ravindra, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, today. Fortifying security at the Lake, Mindspace REIT has also installed 67 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras covering the entire 4.2 km pathway around the Lake, that will increase surveillance.

The Watch Tower will see police personnel on duty round the clock. Its height and position allowing them views of outlying areas of the Lake, delivering increased safety to the local populace. The closed-circuit television cameras strategically placed around the Lake ensure highest levels of monitoring, a necessity, given the high number of tourists, families and children visiting and enjoying the amenities at the Lake.

Mindspace REIT said in a statement, "Back in 2017 Mindspace REIT took up the makeover for the Durgam Cheruvu Lake. Our challenges were plentiful, including quick re-growth of the stubborn water hyacinth, and a location which was tucked in hilly terrain. But we set out as a team to achieve a mammoth task and create a picturesque waterbody. Five years hence, we are proud to have stood steadfast in our commitment, as we complete this phase of the transformation in partnership with the GHMC and Cyberabad Police, to deliver increased security to the local populace."

The beautiful lakeside is part of the CSR initiative of Mindspace REIT, backed by the encouragement of Hon'ble Minister Shri. K. T. Rama Rao. The restoration has been painstakingly undertaken over the years, while preserving its biodiversity, capitalizing on the existing green and blue-scapes, and built meticulously with an ecologically sensitive low carbon footprint approach. While Mindspace REIT assisted with the blueprint design and funding, it was the support from TSIIC, GHMC, TSTDC, HMWS & SB and execution by experts and consultants, that the project has surpassed multiple challenges to present to the city a beautiful water-front.

Shares of Mindspace Business Parks REIT was last trading in BSE at Rs. 350.00 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 348.79. The total number of shares traded during the day was 4222 in over 266 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 355.00 and intraday low of 345.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1475178.00.
