The Ramco Cements Ltd update on Waste Heat Recovery Plants

The Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) captures the waste heat available from the preheater exhaust gas and the clinker cooler exhaust gas of cement kilns and the said heat is used to generate electrical energy, by adopting technologies which are latest in the industry.

The Ramco Cements Ltd have invested in the WHRS for power generation in all the three lines of its Jayanthipuram Plant. The last leg of the preheater was commissioned on 16-04-2022. With this, the WHRS has been fully commissioned at the Jayanthipuram plant. The capacity of WHRS at Jayanthipuram is 27 MW.

The company is set to commission its 5th integrated cement plant at Kolumigundla, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh together with 12.15 MW of WHRS. The overall capacity of Company's WHRS will increase to 39.15 MW.

Inclusive of the wind energy being wheeled for the company's production, the company will be meeting 71% of power required for the clinker production through Green Energy.

Shares of The Ramco Cements Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 805.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 810.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 8831 in over 653 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 811.25 and intraday low of 793.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 7072304.00.
