HDFC Bank to raise up to Rs. 50,000 crores

The Board of Directors of HDFC Bank Limited ("the Bank"), at its meeting held today, has approved the issuance of Perpetual Debt Instruments (part of Additional Tier I capital), Tier II Capital Bonds and Long Term Bonds (financing of Infrastructure and Affordable Housing) up to a total amount of ₹ 50,000 crores in the period of next twelve months through private placement mode, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Bank and any other regulatory approvals as may be applicable.

Shares of HDFC Bank Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1464.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1493.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 286246 in over 12233 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1501.95 and intraday low of 1462.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 422346685.00.
