BEML recognised for CSR Excellent Leadership in PSUs

BEML Limited was conferred the Global CSR Excellent Leadership Award 'for making difference to the lives of others', in the category of CSR projects in PSUs. At a function held in Mumbai, Shri Amit Banerjee, CMD BEML received the award from World CSR Congress.

CSR Congress and Awards recognises the role that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability approaches have made from being a background issue to a primary concern. BEML received the award based on the certain parameter that have embraced the CSR and sustainability agenda.

CSR is synonymous with BEML's core business values. In the background of outbreak of COVID -19 and to support the critical issue of social and economic crisis confronting the country, the company undertook numerous relief activities such as frequently conducting awareness campaigns on COVID appropriate behavior norms at all its Complex / Divisions, establishments of Covid care centers at its complex's hospitals and also contributed Rs. 50 lakhs voluntarily to PM Cares Fund.

BEML also manufactured Medical Oxygen plant and dispatched to various hospitals across India for the needs of COVID patients.

As a 'green company' BEML's energy requirement is met through 23 MW Windmill Projects and 250 KWP Solar Power, resulting in mitigation of 25381 tons of carbon during the year 2020-21.

Apart from company has taken up joint tree plantation programme, support for mid-day meal, free medical camp for the needy people, rainwater harvesting, rejuvenation of lakes, water conservation etc.

Shares of BEML Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1536.80 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1509.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 4141 in over 641 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1553.80 and intraday low of 1511.50. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 6328458.00.
